34 screenshots and 6 illustrated postcards: that is everything Rockstar has shown of GTA 6’s geography. Six regions of the state of Leonida, from Vice City neon to the Grassrivers swamp. All 40 images are below, and under each one you’ll find what is happening in it, which signs and names can be read, and the real Florida place fans and press matched it to.
How the frames are split between regions:
- Vice City: 9
- Leonida Keys: 5
- Port Gellhorn: 5
- Ambrosia: 5
- Grassrivers: 4
- Mount Kalaga: 6
Plus one postcard per region. Every frame is pinned on the interactive map, and the easter eggs, vehicles and tech talk live in the hidden details breakdown.
How to read this. What is visible in a frame, or stated by Rockstar, is presented as fact. Everything else is labeled a theory, along with whoever proposed it.
Vice City (9 frames)
The official blurb calls it “the glamour, hustle, and greed of America captured in a single city.” The prototype is obvious and confirmed by hundreds of comparisons: Miami. The furthest anyone took it was the viral thread VICE covered on June 20, 2026, pairing frames with photos of downtown Miami at sunset. The author admitted he’d never taken that long to tell game from reality.

The region’s postcard, signed Visit Leonida: a turquoise bay, boats, a yacht and the downtown skyline, at an angle that almost matches the view of Miami from the Venetian Causeway.

Giant Vice City letters on steel trusses: rust, warm uplighting and a jet on final approach right over the sign. It reads two ways at once: as an homage to the Hollywood Sign, and as a hint that the airport sits at the city’s doorstep.

A beachfront luxury hotel: a couple watches the pool and the beach from their balcony. The background gets foreground treatment: loungers, umbrellas and swimmers are all modeled, and the player will run past every one of them without looking.

A daytime panorama full of readable signage: Hotel Valetta with its courtyard pool, the Firefly tower behind it, a city bus at a stop and a basketball court. Dexerto flagged that bus back on May 7, 2025 and filed it under arguments for working public transit.

A social-media-style street portrait: grills, gold watches, a mural behind. Rockstar shoots frames like this “through the lens” of the game’s content culture: this city lives as if it’s always filming a story.

A beach with a wooden lifeguard tower whose shape and paint match South Beach’s famous ones. In the frame: a man with a metal detector, an Ocean Rescue quad and dozens of sunbathers. The crowd density is the thing Digital Foundry singled out for praise in its trailer analysis.

The most sign-dense frame of the set. The car reads Vice Beach Police, meaning the beach district runs its own force. Pink neon spells Ocean View Hotel, Tommy Vercetti’s hotel from 2002’s Vice City, the same sign Beebom spotted from another angle. Hotel Dixon and a yellow cab complete the scene.

A strip club interior, almost certainly Boobie Ike’s Jack of Hearts: money in the air, a pole, neon. Per Boobie’s official bio, the club is part of his empire and a stage for the Only Raw Records label.

Downtown at night: a waterfront Ferris wheel, the Sahara Arena with a media facade and a Maniacs team banner, port cranes, a concert hall and the Vice City Arts Center. The mapping community lines this cluster up with real downtown Miami, where the Kaseya Center, the Skyviews wheel and the port sit in the same arrangement.

A neighborhood under the highway: overpass columns covered in murals, including a woman holding the Haitian flag. Together with the Creole-sounding Manman billboard, the area reads as the game’s Little Haiti. On the road: a sky-blue donk on huge wheels and bikers pulling wheelies, straight out of Florida ride-out culture. Route signs 561 and 97 show Leonida numbers its own highways.
Leonida Keys (5 frames)
Officially the “Gateway to Paradise,” dress code casual. The prototype is the Florida Keys with their island-hopping highway. Jason, Brian and Cal all live here.

The region’s postcard: an aerial of the archipelago with a seaplane over the bay, boats at anchor and the highway stitching the islands together.

The region’s key frame: a seaplane over a chain of islands, a long causeway and the Vice City skyline on the horizon. The bridge reads as the game’s Overseas Highway, Seven Mile Bridge included. That distant skyline is the fans’ favorite argument for a seamless, no-loading-screens map.

Old Florida in one frame: a pensioner on a three-wheeled mobility scooter, a green iguana in the middle of the road, a souvenir shop with a Wonder Whale statue and a tour bus. The iguana joins the long wildlife roster fan trackers keep.

A roadside bar called The Rusty Anchor, slogan: “Sink your troubles.” The banner promises a Crab Festival; one patron sleeps face-down on a table. This is the bar Beebom matched to the real Caribbean Club in Key Largo, the bar behind the 1948 noir “Key Largo.”

An underwater frame: divers, a coral reef, a sea turtle and an eel. Diving and snorkeling already appear on the official activities list, so the underwater world is promised outright.

A sandbar boat party any Floridian will recognize: a Lurepredator with Dinka and Nagasaki outboards, a Whirlwind tour boat, jet skis, champagne and an inflatable flamingo. The outboard brands are in-universe GTA marques.
Port Gellhorn (5 frames)
The official framing is a faded “Forgotten Coast” resort town. Real Dimez call it home.
Not confirmed: the prototype. Rockstar names no real city, and community consensus points at Panama City on the Panhandle.

The region’s postcard: a passenger train crawling through the night town under storm clouds, with a water tower and port lights behind. One more official confirmation of the railroad.

The Starlet Motel and its retro sign: king size beds, low rates, pool and Wi-Fi. An old pickup at the entrance, an empty pool out back. The whole region is built from this dying-roadside-motel aesthetic.

Inside a grow house: plants under lamps, foil on the walls, the owner in rings and a guard with a baseball bat. A frame about what keeps Port Gellhorn’s economy alive once the tourists are gone.

A deal through a car window: a bag of blue pills changes hands in front of a guarded garage. Analysts link frames like this to drug dealing returning as a mechanic in the Vice City Stories vein; Rockstar hasn’t confirmed it.

The Delights roadside cabaret: Girls in neon, a marquee reading “new girls, new food, open all night, hiring dancers,” and a monster truck in the lot. The contrast with Vice City’s Jack of Hearts is the point: same trade, different budget.

A vacant-lot party: a cowboy hat, a stars-and-stripes bikini, a grill, a cooler of beer and a guitar by the fire. North Florida runs closer to the Deep South than to Miami, and Rockstar leans into it.
Ambrosia (5 frames)
Officially: sugar country run by bikers. The Allied Crystal refinery in the frames matches the real U.S. Sugar refinery in Clewiston by Lake Okeechobee, a match locked in by Dexerto’s wiki. This is where Raul Bautista operates.

The region’s postcard: smoking stacks at sunset, a silo painted as the American flag and the Allied Crystal office in the corner of the frame.

A Final Chapter MC column rides past a Xero Gas station, the patches reading est. 1982. The roadside is lined with “Erin Henshaw for Mayor” campaign signs calling her “the sweet lifeblood of Ambrosia,” a character Rockstar has so far shown only through election posters. The billboard stars Tiny Frank, “proud ally of diversity’n’treats.”

The refinery at night: smoking stacks, water towers, a busy overpass and swamp in the foreground. An industrial landscape the series hasn’t really had since Los Santos.

A club couple’s portrait: the bearded man wears an Enforcer patch, the muscle role in MC hierarchy, plus a Liberty City Cycles cap that nods to GTA IV’s city. The revolver in hand suggests family photos here include hardware.

Cane burning at sunset: fields on fire, a crop duster circling, the refinery smoking in the distance. Controlled pre-harvest burns are a real practice of Florida’s sugar belt, carried over literally.

A bikini car wash from the driver’s seat: attendants in flag swimsuits soap the windshield. The frame also shows off a full digital dashboard and touchscreen, because vehicle interiors are modeled throughout.
Grassrivers (4 frames)
Officially “the mysterious heart of Leonida,” untamed swamp. The prototype is the Everglades. Dre’Quan Priest grew up here.

The region’s postcard: sunset over the river of grass and the long wake of an airboat, with a flock of birds above the swamp.

A family portrait with a trophy: a bagged alligator, an Airgator airboat, rifles, mud and Patriot beer. The “No Trespassing — violators will be prosecuted” sign sets the region’s mood: outsiders aren’t welcome.

A town on stilts: terrace restaurants over the water, a water tower, boats. The Vice City skyline is visible on the horizon again, one more frame for the seamless-map file. Fans match the town to real Everglades City.

A straight-down shot: an airboat in the lilies, three alligators gliding under the surface. The frame is a flex of water clarity, a detail tech bloggers filed under engine achievements.

A shallow-water chase: a camo pickup drags a loaded trailer, a police SUV closes in, a sheriff’s helicopter hovers, alligators and spoonbills watch from the sides. It looks like a mission still, and chases, judging by the trailer and frames, are not confined to asphalt.
Mount Kalaga National Park (6 frames)
Officially: wilderness in the state’s north, with Brian Heder’s turf nearby.
Not confirmed: the prototype. Peninsular Florida is flat, so candidates run from the inner Panhandle hills to the ridge on the Georgia border. This is the one region fans still argue about.

The region’s postcard: a forest river, a kayak on the bank, two hikers, a deer drinking and a biplane overhead. Half the park’s activities in one frame.

Motocross at an abandoned grain facility: rusty graffiti-covered silos, mud off the wheels, a raccoon fleeing the race. One more activity for the list, and a clearly competitive one.

A news helicopter with “Reporting the Right News” on the fuselage and a cameraman in the door. Rockstar’s cable-news satire fits into a single slogan; fans are already arguing over which real channel it spoofs.

Hunters in the pines: a Whitewolf tank top, overalls, a downed deer in the grass and a squirrel on a trunk. Hunting as an activity looks increasingly likely, though Rockstar has not confirmed the mechanic.

A road through a red-rock canyon: bikers overtake a truck, a bridge crosses overhead. The most “mountainous” frame of the set, and bluffs like these look more like the quarries of north Florida and Georgia than anything coastal.

A cougar closes in on deer at a watering hole. The predator fans logged from the trailer gets its own scene here: the ecosystem runs whether the player shows up or not.

A Crest kayak on the river: a yellow flood gauge in the water, a freight train on the truss bridge above. A double hit: this kayak later became an Ultimate Edition bonus, and the train is the first official confirmation of a railroad in the game.
What August 27 will test
The 40 images assemble a state with no blank spots: a metropolis, islands, a dying resort town, the sugar belt, swamp and a wild north.
Confirmed: the Vice City skyline is visible on the horizon from Leonida Keys and from Grassrivers, in three frames total.
Not confirmed: a seamless map with no loading screens. Rockstar has said nothing about travel between regions.
Every frame is pinned on the interactive map, placed at the real Florida spots Leonida was drawn from. The geometry gets its test on August 27. “An Extended Look” will almost certainly show travel between regions in motion, and we’ll break it down here.
